Well, I read the install instructions on the download page and in the install read me file and I followed the directions. Since there was no "upgrade" instructions I did as the install file suggested.

NOTE: Before I uploaded everything, I logged into my blog and disabled 6.8 first. Then I proceeded to upload.

Once I uploaded everthing, overwriting all the files, I refreshed my plugins page and the Podpress listing went from 6.8 to 6.9 and activated without an issue. So, I breathed a sigh of relief. However, I have encountrered a problem.

My feed url for my site is http://totalphysiqueonline.com/feed/

I use an htacces file in my root along with index.php to make http://totalphysiqueonline.com/ my home page instead of http://totalphysiqueonline.com/wordpress/

Podpress 6.9 keeps changing my feed url to http://totalphysiqueonline.com/wordpress/?feed=rss2 , which is not valid and does not exists.

Why is Podpress doing this? Everytime I click the UPDATE OPTIONS button, podpress inserts http://totalphysiqueonline.com/wordpress/?feed=rss2

There is probably something wrong with the field being saved, will need to look into it. But dont worry, this doesnt affect anything other than the validate feed button, and if you wanted to use the itunes:new-feel-url tag, which few would.

I'm having the same problem. And, when I ping iTunes update, I get an error.

What do I do until 7.0 arrives?

For what it is worth, your Podcast works fine. As for the ping issue, I believe you first need to make sure your iTunes ID number is inserted correctly in the PodPress iTunes options page.

Also, check the iTunes link on your front page (the link everyone clicks to launch iTunes and be taken directly to your Podcast). Your iTunes link looks something like this:

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=[iTunes Member Number minus the brackets goes here]

Then, make sure that the RSS link on your front page is valid. Go to your front page, copy the RSS feed link from your front page Meta section of your blog, then go BACK to Podpress iTunes settings and paste that link into the feed URL validator. CLick the validate button.

If THAT copied and pasted link does not validate then that means the RSS link you have coded in your templates is somehow bad. The RSS link that your site uses needs to be valid and work for the ping inside iTunes/Podpress settings.

If this does not help, let me know.
