podPress Development Starts Again

August 16th, 2009

I am back and have started development on the next version of podPress. A few things have lined up to make this possible

  • My work schedule is now setup to allow me to be more active in the community again, which means I can now get podPress dev and my Podcast going again.
  • Tons of people keep bugging me for updates, and I have appreciated every one of them
  • And special thanks to the new sponsor for giving me the final push that was needed to get going on development again.

    Great news!

may publish some wishes on next wordpress?

i have a magazine website with more than 2000 videos. Some folks put the video in folders via FTP, some others (writers) match the post with the right video.
At the moment we put all the videos in one FOLDER but when you load the edit post window it takes a life to load all the video in the select menu.

The dream would be to locate the right video among folders in the edit post window (if we use SPECIFY URL) we can only select the video in the MEDIAFILEPATH . I was trying that starting from MyFTP plugin http://themes-plugins.com/myftp-wordpress-plugin/

    thanks

Looking forward to your next update! This is the greatest podcasting plugin I have come across. The plugin has made it easy to submit to itunes and to allow people to download to their ipods. Thank you! The only feedback I have gotten is that it slows down the admin area and my client sometimes had trouble logging in while I have the plugin activated. What features will you be working on for the next version?

We’re pretty interested in using your plugin – it looks great. Unfortunately, all of the links to the FAQ, et al, on the plugin page seem to be missing: http://www.mightyseek.com/podpress

Any hope of seeing those sometime? :)

uuu… currently i was thinking about deleting podpress… because i am somehow frustrated that there so many bugs… just one question, when do you think you will be ready for an update? i appreciate your work. podpress helped us a lot to spread music produced by the creative commons music movement.
